The program is open to all undergraduate or graduate students in their bachelor or master’s degree studies, who:

GPA 3.0 or above, or ranking in the top 30% in the faculty
Have strong interest in ICT industry and China, and great enthusiasm for learning
All passwords are individually generated.
Have willingness to participate in group project and global competition.
Have good English language ability Foreign students studying in targeted universities are also welcome join the program, as long as they comply with the requirements and criteria and they are recommended by the partners.

There is NO limit on the number of participants for the online Seeds for the Future program, as long as students fit the criteria and rep office has enough human resources to handle the program planning and communication workload with students. Please let HQ know ahead the expected number of students you will host this year to reserve resources.

All costs related to the development and maintenance of the program are bore by HQ. Costs related to local marketing, communications, events and other incentives for participants need to be covered by local rep office.

After receiving the confirmation from rep office that they’ve been accepted to join the program, participants could create an account on Seeds Academy freely to access to all online courses. Please refer to the HQ email notification to PRs for the final class schedule and livestream links.

Yes. The mandatory pre-recorded courses are entry level for all academic background students regarding to ICT technologies including 5G, AI, Cloud Computing and Digital Power. Students also have the opportunity to go deeper and join the advanced courses as an option.

For one thing, students from different cultures will be divided into groups, and have group discussion, debate, round table dialogues and group presentation etc. to boost interactions between fellows. Facilitator will be arranged in each group for guidance. For the other, students are also free to connect with each other through Seeds for the Future LinkedIn group community Seeds for the Future LinkedIn group. Seeds alumni events will be held on a regular basis. Rep offices are also encouraged to set up local communication channels to facilitate the interactions.

The standard agenda currently requires 4 hours pre-recorded learning + 14 hours livestream courses + “Tech4Good” group project (self-organized discussion time varies) to be finished within 8 days. Rep offices are welcome to organize live events, visits and other exchanges based on local circumstances. Rep office should inform HQ accordingly in case of any time collision.

The standard agenda and agenda templates can be found in the Seeds for the Future 2023 Toolkit. Rep office can design their own agenda. There is no specific requirement of the elements in the opening ceremony and the closing ceremony. HQ encourages rep office to invite guest speakers, arrange student speakers, and promote student’s interaction with the guests.

Generally speaking, NO. If there’s particular circumstance, please discuss with Head of Class at least a week ahead if certain livestream courses need adjusting to specific time. Whether it can be adjusted depends on the schedules of other countries in the same class with you, and the availability of the lecturers.

The livestream courses will be recorded and provided to local PR within one week after the program finish (not include exhibition hall). Local PR can share the recordings to the students who need them.

HQ reserves the rights to authorize program certification to the students. After the program, HQ will send the graduation results to local PR to confirm whether students meet the graduation criteria. On agreement, Head of Class will send the result to the local PR, and Local PR are responsible to send the certification to each qualified students. Certifications will be made within 2 weeks after the program.

Non-students will not be accepted as a participant of Seeds for the Future to study and get certification. But you are welcome to invite journalists to Seeds Academy platform and live-stream session so as to report the program. They could access to the online pre-recorded courses on Seeds Academy though. Local PR can also share the links of the livestream courses to invite journalists, governments, and other guests to join. Seeds for the Future LinkedIn group.
